Q&A session with myself

Selfie of author

1. What’s something that nobody could ever steal from you?

2. Who would you like to forgive right now?

3. What is happiness?

Some pithy sayings of mine that will (hopefully) make you smile and ponder a bit.

1. I looked for many years for the Fountain of Youth. When I finally found it, it had an ‘Out of Order’ sign hanging on it.

2. Some charities include coins in their envelope when asking for a donation. But did those coins come from money I donated before?

3. I called an old friend recently to reconnect after some time had passed. After I said ‘hello’, he answered, ‘Who’s this? Where’d you get this number?!’

4. People have such short attention spans nowadays. …

Originally taught as a seminar at Yale University, and now, mentored by Hollywood and publishing professionals, Written Out Loud combines group brainstorming sessions with individual writing missions. Your child’s individual writing skill will grow by leaps and bounds.

And so will their courage, collaborative spirit, and empathy.

Your child can fall in love with writing!”

I don’t pick it up because of its newness.

In fact, I like pennies that are old and

worn, and weary from all their travels.

Ones that have a rich history to them,

with stories to tell if you’d just listen.

New pennies don’t really have that.

Yes, they’re attractive by being shiny.

Thus stand out in their surroundings.

But if you reach down to pick them up,

you find that they have nothing useful

to say — like most things these days.

Bright, shiny, and new but otherwise,

sadly, they turn…

How money can bring you happiness

OK, so maybe money can’t

really ‘buy’ happiness. But
